Cousin Emmett

Steven LOVES his new cousin, Emmett. He loves babies, but I particularly believe these two new and played with each other in heaven before coming to earth. You can see it in their eyes. Steven is so gentle and sweet with Emmett and they often just smile at each other. Steven is so soft and so gentle with the baby. Being seven months old, you wouldn't expect that from a little one, but really it is true. He LOVES babies, especially his cousins. There are four cousins born all within a year of each other and Steven led the pack. I have a feeling this will be true in many years to come with things. Steven in July. Taylor in November. Emmett in February. Josie in May (we are anxiously awaiting her big debut!)

Play Time

I LOVE family play time! We get on the floor together and just play and play. It is absolutely my favorite time together. Steven loves to play with rings. We will put them on his head and he does such a great job balancing and holding very still so they won't fall off of his head. And when it finally does, he giggles and giggles. He also thinks it is funny when they are on mommy and daddy's head. We love to play with the little zoomers toy car track, but Steven and Mommy always have a disagreement about who is going to have the firetruck. :) Steven also loves to kick and play with his big green ball. We are teaching Wally how to bring that one to us.

On this particular day we were working on crawling. Steven is catching on. He has figured out backwards and how to turn himself an entire 360 degrees, but darn it...we just can't figure out forward. We have tried and tried, but I guess when he is ready it will happen. I am not super worried yet, and to be honest, I don't know if I am completely ready for a mobile one in the house yet. His smile just melts my heart!

Look at those LEGS!!!!

The illusive Puff
Steven loves his puffs! I think more then eating them though, he loves to feed them to Wally. He laughs and laughs until his face turns red from feeding them to Wally. I think we have created a monster, on both parts! He is really good about picking them up and getting them in his hand, but struggles with opening his hand and putting them in his mouth. Everyday is a new adventure in feeding. I think they learn just as much from playing with their food as they do eating it, so I don't worry.

Wally waits very patiently for Steven to be done playing with his puffs so he can come in and clean up the mess.

My Valentine

His First Valentine's Day!
Everything right now is "The First" for me and I love it. I relish in it! Sometimes I wake up in the morning and I think, "Oh, it is his first February ___ ever! I know, kinda cheesy, but I just can't help but feel that way.
We got him some new little zoomers for his favorite car track. A police car and a firetruck, and everyone knows how partial to fire engines I am. He got a new sippy cup and a little tiger from his grandma great.

When Matt brought him to me for dinner each of my boys brought me a rose. I was at work so didn't have my camera, but they are beautiful. Just having my little boy here on this earth is really a gift enough for me! He is absolutely my favorite valentine, and he gives the sweetest valentine kisses! I am so grateful for every moment I have to spend with him! I am eternally grateful to my loving Father in Heaven for entrusting me with one of his choice spirits. My heart is full of joy and gratitude everyday. And since today is all about love, I LOVE MY HUSBAND, too! I don't think I give him enough shout outs or enough credit. Steven loves his daddy too. LOVE MY BOYS!!!

7 Months

Oh Sweet Boy...
You went to sleep one day as my tiny baby and woke up a small man child! You are absolutely, incredibly beautiful and I am so grateful to be your Mommy! You are the light of my life and I am so proud of you. Everyday is a new adventure and I cannot wait until I can be home with you full time. I love you more and more everyday, if that is even possible!

One of my favorite times with you is first thing in the morning. When you make noises to let me know you are ready to get up, I come in, peek over your crib and you always give me a great big smile. And then I sing you our morning sunshine song, "Good morning merry sunshine, why do you sleep so late? You used to wake at 6:00 and now you sleep till 8." And then you usually throw your arms around my neck and shower me with your sweet hugs and kisses. You are my sunshine sweetie! Your smile melts my heart. I am a better mommy because of you! Your smile is enough to get me through everyday. I count the hours (literally) until I can come home and hug and kiss you again.

Our trip to Utah

We went to Utah for Taylor's blessing the first weekend in February. Steven was an absolute angel in the car. I was expecting the worst, but was pleasantly surprised. I am so proud of him. He had very little fussing, and we learned that Mommy has a new talent; nursing in a moving vehicle. On the way down we were three hours from being there and I did not want to stop to nurse him because our ETA was already nearly midnight. Who knew Mommy was so talented?

Steven LOVED spending time with his cousins! He did so well with sharing and loving. Reagan (5) and Hannah (4) loved having him around. And boy did they spoil him. They read books, played and had a blast together.
I know it is a little blurry but this picture of Reagan reading to Steven is too much!

Kissing cousins

Oh, what sweet babies!

Steven also loved playing with cousin Taylor. Taylor is just a couple of months old, but Steven didn't seem to care. He tried to play with her, poke her in the eye, and give her kisses.
I love this picture of Steven cuddling Taylor. He really, truly loves her. He was trying to comfort her.

Here they are playing. You can see it in their eyes that they knew each other previously in Heaven. They were up playing, having a great time together.

Here are the four cousins together. I think these pictures so catch their personalities. Reagan, as the oldest, is the caretaker and wants to make sure everyone is happy and taken care of. Hannah is such a little busy body she seems to always be planning her next big thing. Steven is learning by imitating everything around him and he just wants to get down. And Taylor, as the baby, just wants to be down and not around so many crazy cousins!

Grandpa and the two babies, Taylor and Steven

The blessing day: Taylor Kathleen Pyung Kwa Anderson
Nannie Great made her dress and it was so incredibly beautiful. Taylor was blessed with many wonderful things. We are ever so grateful to have her in our family!

Daddy Ben and Taylor

The Family: I LOVE these guys and miss them terribly. I am looking forward to visiting in the next few months and spending more quality time with them!

How can you NOT love these faces? Filling up 4 tanks of gas? Darn expensive? Seeing the babies together? Priceless. Here are four of the five grandchildren with Grandpa.
